| The Beat had a string of hits in the '80s such as Hands Off, She's Mine, Mirror In The Bathroom and Too Nice To Talk Too. In America the group was known as The English Beat. Dave Wakeling still performs regularly and, from the look of recent photographs, he seems to have weathered the years remarkably well. Maybe the yoga paid off...? |

Talk about bending over backward to please! I've heard of a flexible friend, but this is not quite what I had in mind.

Dave Wakeling of The Beat was well ahead of the trend in celebrity yoga. On this page, you see some of the pictures I took of Dave going through a few of his yoga exercises. This was part of a series that I was commissioned to write and photograph for a girls' magazine in the early '80s.
